JORD Wood Watches Part 1.

Yes, yes, yes, I know, I know i haven't written in months now but I can't be bothered to write a huge apology because I can't wait to share with you this new post!

About a month ago I received an email from an American based watch brand looking for me to review and show off one of their new products. Now I know that my page and blog is only small compared to many but I was amazed to find that a brand would try with one of the less known bloggers out there.

The brand I have here today to showcase to you all is JORD Luxury Wood Watches.

The brand is based in St. Louis, Missouri and this is what intrigued me more as they aren't a british based brand which usually go for the British bloggers. They sell premium hand made, all natural wooden watches that are beautifully crafted and presented.

I am personally big on presentation and I was very pleased to find the watch came in an engraved wooden sliding box that had been sanded down to be smooth as anything.
In side the box there was a booklet, cleaning cloth and obviously the watch. Sat there on an etched mini cushion. It was all executed very professionally.

The actual watch I got sent is to be exact the 'Dark Sandalwood & Blue Carbon' watch from the 'Delmar Series'. Its a bigger and chunkier statement watch from their amazing collection with an iris blue deep carbon fibre back face. Their watches all feature engraved logos on and very detailed faces and backs with details of the brand.

Bellow are a selection of images to see how the watch looks in more detail and on hand, also if you follow my social medias you'll see various other outfits of me wearing it with outfits. I also have a giveaway for a $75 e-gift card up for grabs! you get a $20 card just for entering (excluding the winner) Here is the link to go and sign up. (https://www.woodwatches.com/g/originxlgrvg) The contest ends on 24/8/2016, $75 card expires 30/9/2016 and the $20 expires 31/12/2016. Good Luck!

Anyway I would highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a solid, luxury and different watch! all of JORD's social accounts will be down bellow.

Outfit Of The Day - Distress Day

Photography: Farhan Zackaria

Blue Light Wash Denim Jacket (Self Distressed) - Topman / £45
Camo Green Hoodie - Topman / £32
Olive Longline Under T-shirt - Asos / £18
Ripped Black Skinny Jeans (Discontinued) - Maniere De Voir / £50
Black Corduroy Hat (Discontinued) - Supreme / £44
Geobasket Sneakers - Rick Owens / £730

-----------------------------------

Hi everyone and welcome back to another post. Unfortunately I have my exams coming up in a few weeks so blog posts will be becoming less frequent (as is the case with this one). However I will try my best to get posts out regardless!

The shoot took place at The Manchester Library which is great minimalist location with modern takes on more traditional architecture which was great! Exploring the city opens up amazing new spots to shoot at which I enjoy every time I go out to the city (almost every weekend haha)

The outfit I went for on the day once again had some colour to it! On top we have an olive longline tee from Asos (the usual), then I had on a new camo hoodie from Topman. id been tracking a camo over piece for a while and this hoodie was exactly what i was looking for, I wanted a hoodie with no draw strings and to have the overlapped from section of the hood (You'll understand when you see the pictures haha) and this fit the agenda perfectly, as well as being very affordable!. Another piece id been hunting for ages but never actually pulled the trigger on was a denim jacket. I found this one again in Topman for a reasonable price, BUT, I didn't want to keep it plain and 'ordinary' so the second I got home I took scissors to it (very hastily) and it turned out great!

On the bottom half I decided to use some different jeans for a change opposed to my biker jeans you've been seeing for the past I don't know how many posts and I came across some brand new MDV (very) distressed jeans in my wardrobe. So well.. why not try them with this outfit! The combination of distressing on top of the outfit works simultaneously well with the bottom half. Although the jeans do have lots of small horizontal rips going across the front of the jeans they still work very well instead of say a traditional knee rip. Finally two standard pieces to finish off the look, my trusty Supreme hat and Rick Owens sneakers which are still destroying my feet...If you have any insole recommendations please let me know as I can't find any that fit the odd shape of the shoes sole!

Thank you for dropping by on this one, it meant a lot to me did this shoot as i finally got to do a proper non-rushed shoot with John as well as meet his incredibly talented photographer Farhan. So give them a follow on Instagram (link down bellow) and myself if you haven't already!

Once again thanks for the support and following, see you again soon.

Greg.

Outfit Of The Day - Virgil Taught Me

Photography: Charlotte Traverse

Black Scooped Hem Under T-shirt - Topman / £10
Black Hoodie - Maniere De Voir / £35
'Blue Collar' Black T-shirt - OFF WHITE C/O / £140
Black Biker Jeans - Maniere De Voir / £50
Black Corduroy Hat - Supreme / £45
Geobasket Sneakers - Rick Owens / £730

-----------------------------------

Hello everyone I hope you've had a good week, I know I'm becoming slightly behind with the blog posts so be expecting another blog post tomorrow evening as well so I can catch up.

Trying to find a nice variety of shooting spots can sometimes prove rather difficult, and to keep the picture looking fresh and the audience draw in takes time to find the right place. The balance of keeping a minimal and clean background whilst not looking boring is a hard skill to get right and as a new blogger I'm still learning about this. This shoot was done in central Manchester at the fountains at the end of Deansgate  Unfortunately they weren't active when I was there but we made do the best we could.

Ive always been a fan of Virgil Abloh and his now deceased brand 'Pyrex Vision'. It was brought to my attention with the slight help of Kanye wearing it and it becoming a huge icon in the streetwear world. However when it died it came back rebranded as 'Off White C/O' and I forgot about it. Now its returned bigger and even better with it new collection and I'm absolutely in love with the brand.

The outfit consists of primarily black with small mounts of white or Rick Owens calls it 'milk'. With the bold Off White T-shirt on top and being one of the main centre pieces I need some shoes to equally be as eye catching. The perfect shoe for the job was my Geobaskets from Rick Owens, this very loud yet subtle leather masterpiece literally shouts luxury. With a full leather upper, metal zipper and exaggerated tongue the sneaker fits great with the bulky outfit.

Unfortunately I couldn't afford the Off White jumper so instead decided to get the t-shirt in the largest size possible and layer it over a jumper, the obvious choice was the black hoodie from MDV and a simple scooped hem tee from Topman. Finished with some of MDV's new and updated biker denim and a Supreme Hat.

I love this clean and minimal outfit, with small hints of boldness through the sneakers and t-shirt I feel it could fit in whether your in the city or your local town. Tell me what you think of this look and have a good rest of your sunday! Back to school and work tomorrow :(

See you tomorrow on the next post.
Greg.

-----------------------------------

Hey! Welcome back, I know its late but I've been extremely busy recently. However a new outfit post will be up on Wednesday so keep your eyes peeled for that! Also I have a few brand reviews and recommendations to vary the blog up slightly from just OTTDs. Now back to the outfit, its a simple one and as AW15 gets under way, simpler outfits is what ill be wearing a lot more. Ive always loved a simple outfit because less can mean more in fashion, a clean outfit consisting of a few layers on top and some jeans can look a lot better than lots of tops, jackets and coats pilled on top of each other (I'm not saying those outfits are bad). This outfit in particular relates back to my old friend the colour black. The main piece I focused on was the sneakers. Now I know people aren't very fond of these, but I am! and I really wanted to show case them and expose their diversity on a maximum level through this outfit. The simple black upper and lower of the outfit blends seamlessly into everyday life until you get to the loud and bold sneakers. As I've said in many an outfit Im wearing non other than the trusty Ribbed Biker Jeans from MDV and black super longline t-shirt from Asos. Ive really become a custom to biker jeans and they add a great lease of life and difference to anyone's jean department, you can find them in any high street shop from H&M to Forever21 Men. So that wraps it up for this outfit post but check back on Wednesday for a new one and ill tell you when brand reviews and other new blog posts will be coming (not just OOTDs). Oh yeh, I have a tips and tricks to share with you in the future as well regarding fashion! I'll keep you updated.
C'ya in a few days.

Outfit Of The Day - Noir Ninja

Photography: Charlotte Traverse

Super Longline Side Zip T-shirt - Asos / £14
Leggings - Asos / £12
Black Airtex Shorts - Maniére De Voir / £33
Asymmetric Longline Jacket - H&M / £15
Metal Plaque Snake Embossed Cap - Maniére De Voir / £20
Masa Racer Low Triple Black Sneakers - Adidas Y3 / £240

-----------------------------------

Hi guys, welcome to the latest and greatest. This blog post is of a dark and almost assassin like outfit shot in a overgrown and rustic area of a mill I live near. Before you say it I will be doing more urban shoots very soon and I'm excited to get that into motion It just takes me time to get to my nearest city of Manchester and gather my photographer, but I will do it I promise!. So, I always rely on black as a basis for outfits however on this one I really wanted the full stealth look. The very oversized and assassin looking jacket from H&M is a great piece at a very affordable price and adds some different shapes and dynamics to the outfit with its curvy lines and edges. Coupled up with the amazingly comfortable Airtel shorts from MDV and the timeless leggings via Asos the outfit is all very sleek. Finally with the infamous Y3s I own it completely topped off the ninja style look very well. I really feel my blog is beginning to blossom now and any help you can give is appreciated more than I can put into words, if you like what I'm doing drop me a shout out on Instagram! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more to come! Bye.

Outfit Of The Day - Can Red Be Relaxed?

Photography: Aaron Haigh

Shirt - H&M / £10
Super Longline T-shirt - Asos / £14
Skinny Tracksuit Bottoms w/ Drop Crotch - Topman / £24
Chuck Taylor Play Sneakers - Comme De Garçons X Converse / £85

-----------------------------------

This was a late one and I apologise for that haha, but anyway todays outfit was a really simple one and one that I wanted to be really comfortable in. Instead of the usual skinny jeans I opted for some skinny trackies instead, not only does it make it really nice to shoot in, but it adds some variety to the outfit, with different looks and textures to work around. The return of the checked shirt also appeared, I used this as I really wanted to use my CDG X Converse Chuck Taylor, these minimalistic sneakers are great and so much more comfortable than I expected up there with some air max in my opinion, and thats what this outfit was based about, comfortability. The outfits toped off with a simple off white t-shirt from Asos which I cant get enough off! Tell me what you think about it and if you haven't come from my Instagram page then make sure you go and check it out, maybe give it a follow! IG - originxl.grvg

Outfit Of The Day - Playful Hearts

Photography: Charlotte Traverse

Stone Bomber Jacket - Asos / £38
Stepped Hem Striped T-shirt - Asos / £14
(D.I.Y Distressed) Denim Skinny Jeans - Topman / £30
Lanyard - Represent Clothing / £20
Metal Plaque Snake Embossed Cap - Maniére De Voir / £20
Pro Leather Heart Stamp Sneakers - Comme De Garçon X Converse / £100

-----------------------------------

Hi welcome back to another post! I know I only posted yesterday but due to not uploading in a while I thought Id try and make up for it. Upload is on time as promised haha. So trying to shoot todays outfit was more difficult than I anticipated, to start off with I set off with my photographer Charlotte to get something to eat before the shoot only to find that Id forgotten my SD card for my camera when we reached the shooting spot! So I insisted we returned to get it and come back and complete the shoot, I wasn't going to disappoint you by leaving it to another day. So this blog post has been done as speedily as possible to publish on time! Now to the outfit Ive previously used this outfit in a shoot and absolutely love it, the strange sort of off white, creamy beige kind of look it gives off is strange but appealing in my opinion. I paired it with some distressed blue denims for a change instead of black and with my beloved CDG x Converse sneakers which I don't wear as much as I should If im honest. Finally to give the outfit some diversity I used the striped t-shirt with stepped hem (that really is very stepped!) from Asos. I think the outfit really works and is something different. Tell me what you think. C'ya.

Outfit Of The Day - Check Mate

Photography: Lewis Finnigan

Off White Super Longline T-shirt - Asos / £14
Checked Shirt - Topman / £30
(D.I.Y Super Distressed) Black Skinny Jeans - Topman / £30
Metal Plaque Snake Embossed Cap - Maniére De Voir / £20
Lanyard - Represent Clothing / £25
Triangle Low Cut Sneakers - Filling Pieces - / £160

-----------------------------------

Before I get into todays post i'd like to apologise for being so inactive recently. Ive been struggling to find time to get some decent pictures and the weather work with me at the times I have any availability. Anyway I should be getting a schedule soon saying when ill post. I digress, hey so how are you doing? Todays outfit was one i'd wanted to throw together for a while. In my wardrobe I do have a substantial amount of blacks, whites and greys and thought it would look cool putting them all together. I tried to balance a similar amount of each colour through each piece of attire. The central piece is definitely the checked shirt I bought form Topman. It makes any outfit pop and especially when put on a clean canvas with blacks and or whites. The filling pieces are also an amazing shoe, not as well known as many brands but are really starting to pick up speed now. They are a great 'entry level' high end shoe and in my opinion for the price. Its astonishing the amount of craftsmanship than has gone into producing the shoes. I dare say it the leather is border line Balenciaga territory and thats for half the price!. Anyway, I know this post went up a tad later than I said it would and im sorry for that I made a little longer for you, haha. Thanks for reading and make sure you follow me on social media for more updates on blog posts and outfits etc. Bye :)

Outfit Of The Day - Cookies & Cream

Photography: Aaron Haigh

Stone Bomber Jacket - Asos / £38
Super Longline T-shirt - Asos / £14
Ribbed Biker Denim - Maniére De Voir / £43
Metal Plaque Snake Embossed Cap - Maniére De Voir / £20
Lanyard - Represent Clothing / £25
Qasa Racer Low Triple Black Sneakers - Adidas Y3 / £240

-----------------------------------

I know I only posted yesterday as well, but I was in central Manchester today and had my camera on me so me and my friend decided to do a little exploring and find a quiet spot to do some outfit shots. The outfit was a mix of black, cream and off white. I personally feel the beiges, creams and off whites are actually quite under rated colours so I decided to wear them today. The bomber jacket's colour is really called 'Stone' which I was skeptical towards the look when I first received the jacket however it has grown on me and I really enjoy its diverse look now. I also broke out my Y3 Qasa Racer Low sneakers after a few months in their box and its reminded me of their amazing quality and unique 'ninja style' look, especially in their triple black colour way which I haven't seen anyone else in to date. Any way tell me what you think about it, have a good last of your weekend :)

Greg.
